This should be a wholesome place for premeds to discuss premed-related topics. Being overly neurotic is unhelpful and adds personal stress in addition to placing the burden of your stress on others. This sub is primarily oriented towards undergraduate students looking to apply to MD/DO programs. Any and all posts/questions related to the ...

  4. r/premed on Reddit: Premed students who 'did everything right'...

    www.reddit.com/r/premed/comments/17g7sk2/premed_students_who_did_everything...

I relied almost entirely on my compilation of knowledge from online sources like this subreddit and SDN. I did meet with some advisors in person, but I always took their advice with a grain of salt. Sometimes they gave good advice and other times they didn’t. Imo premed clubs can be useless and cut throat for no reason.

Timing is different depending on an individual’s circumstances and the opportunities available to them. I have taken gap years myself - just like what you said, spend a huge chunk of time on research then do some more volunteering in my gap years. But the premed experience can also be very diverse.

Hello r/premed. Since I have absolutely nothing to do, I decided to start making a series of posts covering all of the parts of the pre-med experience. My goal is to capture all of the common questions, misconceptions, and ideas surrounding topics such as research, ECs, GPA, etc. All of my info comes right from my 4 years being in this ...

The California Senate recently created a new pathway program aimed to help premed students at community colleges obtain access to resources, mentorship, and other opportunities. I wish it had been around when I was in community college! Here's the link to the Inland Empire specific program : https://cmsp.ucr.edu/.

One of my interviews was about 50% questions about healthcare and its problems in the US, specifically in the context of COVID. Maybe not super high-yield, but it's important to have at least something to say about COVID in general and also what you've learned from COVID. Reply. axa645. •.

  11. PreMed UK - Reddit

Their school leavers cert is recognised in the UK as GCSE equivalent, so some sort of L3 qualification is needed. A Levels, Scottish Highers etc. One thing I see advertised a lot is Access to HE diploma and some seem specific to medicine. The beauty seems it is a consolidated programme with clear target and framework.
