National Grid uses a LTR system, that has the Passport technology unfortunately, so it can't be track trunked. And because it is LTR, you'll get the databursts hanging up the channel. The good thing with the LTR PassPort is during quieter times, most of the radio traffic is on the home/regitsration channel. (See the wiki).

14,771. Location. Taxachusetts. Feb 18, 2009. #3. Most of Central Mass is still on the Low-Band, so I would contrate there for now. unless you want to listen to the RI LTR and/or Eastern Mass LTR and 800 TRS. Ricky's link is a good start to cultivate the frequencies. Also try the RR DB here for any possible new FCC allocations...

  5. What Will Be Best Form of Communication If the Grid Goes Down?

    forums.radioreference.com/threads/what-will-be-best-form-of-communication-if...

Ham radio can literally fill every communications need in an emergency. Almost anything that any other communications service can provide can be done on ham radio. Short range, long range, medium range, high power, low power, etc. Power requirements can be from the lowly AA battery as used in FRS to kW requirements.

At 1A receive you've used up 24AH per day without even transmitting. If the repeater is keyed 4 hours a day your now at 40AH of battery power used up in 24hrs. You want to upsize the batteries and solar considerably and you can look up charts on line for your region and how much solar is available during the year.

Messages. 1. Jan 3, 2016. #1. Good morning, Newbie to all of this. I am using CHIRP which is working fine. My question is in importing database items from Radioreference to CHIRP. When I do an Import/query in CHIRP, it only brings up the General frequencies, i.e. PD, FD, schools, etc. I can not get it to bring up Amateur Radio frequencies.

    forums.radioreference.com/threads/question-about-brushcreek-buckeye-moa...

349.400 Buckeye Control (445th AW CP) - usually just 445th a/c, but a lot of crews new to Patterson mistakenly call there instead of Dispatch (372.200) - also hear the occasional phone patch. 372.200 is a standard PTD frequency - Scott and Patterson are the two that I usually hear.

  10. Proscan History Logging question - RadioReference.com Forums

    forums.radioreference.com/threads/proscan-history-logging-question.426948

If you want to get a full log of all hits that is independent of what the History grid shows, then you want to enable the History Log.txt file. Go into Options > Logging > History Grid > enable Logging To "History Log.txt" File. If you don't set a custom location for the file, it will default to the same VirtualStore location noted above.

The main repeater is 148.125 with an input of 143.550 P25 and analog. The net controllers check in the first few units, then they say "I am going to check the other systems" Anyone know what the other systems are?
