Western Art Collector: The MCA Denver interrogates the myth of the American Cowboy with a new group show featuring contemporary artists. Air Mail: Cowboy. The Colorado Sun: A Denver museum exhibit explores cowboy culture, the archetypal and the authentic.
So, we created this thing called the Octopus Initiative, which places art in the hands of many, reaches out to the community with welcoming arms, and gives any Denver metro area resident a chance to live with a work of contemporary art, made by a Denver artist, for ten months.
The exhibition, Breakthroughs: A Celebration of RedLine at 15, opening February 24, 2023, will be a collaboration with RedLine Contemporary Art Center to celebrate their fifteenth anniversary of artist residencies and fostering education and engagement between artists and communities to create positive social change.
Join us on Friday from 1-2PM and Saturday from 1-2PM for a guided tour of our current exhibitions. To participate, book an admission ticket during those windows and join us in the front atrium after you’ve arrived. Drop-in tours are limited to 20 participants and are first-come, first-served.
