Our budget is about $2,000, however for something super awesome or comfortable willing to be flexible. Big enough for two adults and two dogs to lounge comfortably. OKC is the 20th largest city in the country and has most of the amenities you’d want from a city. There are as many good, new restaurants and bars as you could ever hope to sample. Riversport area is fun, offering a man made white water rafting course and kayaking. You can rent a decent house for < $1,500.
If you have kids, Mustang and Yukon will have better schools than OKC or Putnam City. Warr Acres, Bethany, and the Village are decent places to live if no kids. All of those areas have good highway access and you’re 20 mins tops from work. Bricktown and Midtown is nice and all, but pricey.
What you'll deal with every day in terms of road conditions, religious inequality, small minded people and uneducated population can really ruin any pros you're looking for. With that said, if you do decide to move to Oklahoma, go to Tulsa or OkC. Anything outside of there will be fruitless. -19.
It is very hard to date in OKC. Alot of people after college just leave the state, in my experience. And people who move to OKC are moving with their significant other. The person I met while here, was still in grad school and is in the process of moving out of OK. So I got them at the right time.
