For example: That said, if you can provide with plans of a 2-way center speaker with good horizontal spread that would work. I really don't care if it is 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, or whatever.
I have a 3.1 setup running through a Yamaha RX-V383 receiver. I upgraded my L/R bookshelf speakers to the Klipsch RP500M the other week and am quite happy. The center channel is a Polk T30 that seems to work quite well and is usually on lists as best budget center channel speaker that seems to...
Speaker has to be wall-mountable and less than 6" in depth. I've narrowed my selections down to the following: Martin Logan Motion SLM XL ($699) 100 Hz -25 kHz. GoldenEar SuperSat 60c ($999) 50 Hz - 35 kHz. Monitor Apex A40 ($975) 50 Hz - 35 kHz. The Martin Logan wins on price, but the dynamic range worries me.
The SVS Ultra Evolution Center channel features a three-way design that includes two 4.5-inch midrange drivers (the same ones used in the Titans) and a 1-inch diamond tweeter. This speaker also incorporates a curved front baffle. It has a frequency response of 40Hz to 40kHz (+/-3 dB) with a sensitivity of 87dB and a nominal impedance of 6 ohms.
Other frequency area may need a boost. Look around 2-5 kHz and give it a bit of a boost. You need to hone in on how wide the bandwidth needs to be and what center frequency to use. Then how much of a boost is needed to get dialog clarity without affecting the other program material in the center channel too much.

This will be used for a DIYSG Fusion-8 center and will sit under my projector screen. Looking for the height of the stand to be in 12-15" tall range if possible. The speaker bottom dimensions are 27" wide x 12" deep.

Me, I have mine below but behind a false panel. I have it tilted up on an adjustable frame to ear level on my first row.
Question: Do you set your center channel crossover at a higher or lower crossover than your left and right speaker? My setup: Front Left / Center / Front Right : Polk Owm5 (Freq Res 80Hz - 22,000) Surround Left / Surround Right: Polk Owm5 (Freq Res 80Hz - 22,000) Top Front Atmos / Top Rear Atmos: Polk Owm3 (Freq Res 100Hz - 22,000) Subwoofer ...
This may be a simple hack to angle your center speaker if you've got a couple laying around. 7.4.4 atmos with Elac Uni-Fi's and JBL's (some in-wall), Marantz SR-8015 AVR, 4x Infinity ERS-610 for ceiling, MartyCube + JohnnySub, BenQ W1070, Nvidia Shield, Plex, miniDSP for subs. Reply Like. W.

A simple yet good looking 12"-18" high stand would be perfect. I am having a tough time finding anywhere to buy a decent stand for less than $200.
