Chase David Burns (born January 16, 2003) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Cincinnati Reds organization. He previously played college baseball for the Tennessee Volunteers and Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Once hailed a top high school prospect, Burns was drafted 2nd overall in the 2024 MLB Draft by the Reds.

Lowder went to North Stanly High School located New London, North Carolina, where he played baseball. During his sophomore season in 2018, he pitched a 9–2 record and with a 1.03 ERA. [1] As a junior in 2019, he went 9–0 with a 0.61 ERA, 115 strikeouts, and seven walks over 68.1 innings. [2]
As a freshman at Wake Forest in 2022, Hartle started 14 games, going 7–6 with a 5.30 ERA and 54 strikeouts over 69 + 2 ⁄ 3 innings pitched. [4] In 2022, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod Baseball League. [5] As a sophomore in 2023, he helped lead Wake Forest to the College World Series.
