Diablo II: ResurrectedGeneral Discussion. Felix-2465 May 3, 2021, 8:51am 1. I have a question regarding cross-progression. If I understand it correctly, Battle.net characters created on the PC can be played on the console (also via Battle.net) as long as the console is linked to the Battle.net account, right?
Diablo 1, 2, & 3 were all developed first and foremost for the PC. Saying Diablo 3 was developed as a console game is not an educated statement. D3’s console gameplay/control experience doesn’t hold a candle to D3’s PC controls. It wasn’t designed for console to start but they tested controller support early.
Diablo 3 on the couch with a controller sounds like a great time, especially on a Steam Deck. While you’re right about the console versions having controller support, it’s important to remember the PC version was designed from the ground up for mouse and keyboard. Implementing full controller support might require more than just a simple port.
Imagine this: D3 with controller support, the ability to toggle between PC and console UI layout, full UI layout customization where you can move resource globes left, right, center, up, down, side, mirro (flip) them, same with console UI elements. Chat being invisible and click-through so as not to impede combat at all.
Diablo 3 Collector’s Edition: Angelic Wings. See Wings Section above for availability. Diablo 3 RoS CE/DE: Undead dog pet and Transmog items. Still available. SC2 Campaign Collection: Drone pet, Protoss Transmog, Blade Wings and Banner Sigil. Still available. WoW Mists of Pandaria CE or DE: Banner graphics and a Feat of Strength.
Actually, consoles were an afterthought. the game was PC/mac from day one. They spent years in added development to add console support. I’ve been playing since original Diablo hit shelves and following development of Hellfire, D2 & D3 all along the way. Abella-11810 January 7, 2024, 7:05am 3. D1 was designed exclusively for PC. Console mode was redesigned later. D3 design was primarily with console in core, hence the 6 button skill system oppose to traditional system. Its very easy to implant controller support on D3 oppose to D1 or D2.
So please add couch coop to PC into Diablo 4. 8 Likes. Kargon-2720 June 12, 2022, 6:24pm 2. Kiba: Diablo 3 couch coop was only available to console and it was super lame in PC’s that you had to have another PC to play with a friend.
Console Discussion. Lycona-1280 February 4, 2021, 7:36pm 1. I bought Diablo III on the Nintendo Switch so I could play it wherever I go, which is great. But I don’t get any kind of bonus loot from special deals on PC, like the Collector’s Edition of Overwatch that gives the Mercy Wings for example.
