In Greek mythology, Atlas ( / ˈætləs /; Greek: Ἄτλας, Átlās) is a Libyan god [ 1] and a Titan in Greek mythology condemned to hold up the heavens or sky for eternity in Libya after the Titanomachy [ 2].
