In the Amex Membership Rewards family, both the Consumer and Business versions of the Platinum and Centurion cards qualify for a $200 airline credit. The Premier Rewards Gold (PRG) card is eligible for a $100 airline credit (the Gold credit is going away in 2022). Hilton Aspire AMEX is eligible for a $250 airline credit.
1. Hotels must be prepaid on AmEx Travel from the list or FHR and THC. 2. Payments for a single booking on AmEx Travel can not be split between 2+ CC. This is relevant for households with more than one Plat. 3. Payments at the hotel are not eligible for this credit. 4. Bookings can be as short as 1 day for FHR, and 2 days for THC.
The only tangible benefit afforded to paid AUs is SkyClub and Centurion Lounge/Escape Lounge access. All other benefits track that of the primary card, so for example, AU card purchases will trigger the new Delta Stays and Resy credits, but no additional credits are allotted to the account.
Boots in Ireland also refused my Amex card, but they stopped taking Amex in the UK in 2001 (although rumoured to be accepting it again soon). Given that Amex acceptance is generally higher in Ireland than in the UK and that M&S accepts Amex in the UK, I would therefore expect M&S in Ireland to accept Amex without any problem.
AmEx “official” term for what we call Retention Offer is “Loyalty Incentive” (offer). Amex representatives/agents have no discretion over retention offers, it’s all computer/algorithm generated. Often there are 2 offers; points or miles for certain spend within certain timeframe, statement credit for same spend and timeframe.

The issue is that I struggle do see the point of the Reserve if I am already going to have the Amex platinum (which I am as I get use out of the Uber, Saks and Travel credits). I put any non-business airline spend on the Amex Platinum, and I can get the MQM bonus via the Delta Platinum.
