The iD application does not open a mixer window when the iD4 is connected. This is because the iD app is used to configure the more advanced settings available for the iD4's big brothers, the iD14 and iD22.
On windows, when the iD mixer application is running, you'll see a small iD icon in the system tray, found in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Simply right-click on this and select Show Mixer.
