Carrie Snodgress was WONDERFUL in “Diary of a Mad Housewife” and richly deserved the accolades that came her way. I know that she was the original choice to play Adrian in “Rocky”; I what other roles she might have turned down between “Diary of a Mad Housewife” and her welcome return in “The Fury”.

R42, one thing to remember is that in Hebrew, the -el suffix gives the word or name an association with God (El). Hence the names of the archangels: Michael, Raphael, Azrael, Gabriel, Uriel, Jophiel, etc., and some biblical names: Ishmael, Israel, Samuel. So spelling these names another way would be "incorrect."

Actors you wish had been more prolific. Watching lots of old movies lately and I can’t help but wonder what might have been with some of the actors I’ve watched whose careers seemed somewhat short lived. Samantha Eggar was a beautiful, stylish British actress who peaked in the 60s. Her career seemed to trail off in the 70s.
Carrie's son by Neil Young was born with cerebral palsy. She and young separated in 1975 after 4 years. Young married in 1977 and had a son Ben who also had cerebral palsy. Snodgress sued Young for child support and Young was ordered to pay Carrie $10,000 a month for child support and up to $300,000 on a home for mother and child.
