I was about to place an order on Grubhub and I see that there's a mandatory $12.50 fee.... $9 Service Fee and $3.50 Driver benefits (In support of CA prop 22, this payment helps to guarantee minimum wage and healthcare benefits for our driver so they don't have to depend on tips.) I normally tip $5 each order but since they are already charging ...
they prioritize entry lvl too much, one you no longer entry you will get a shitty order. Pros: - your delivery area is big, for me its the reason I'm still on GH. On doordash i have to go back to area if i have to deliver order out of area, that thing is annoying thats why I'm on grubhub still. -pays better overall.
This never happened before so I was curious. 1. Reply. vraway. • 10 days ago. There have been three instances where I observed on the GrubHub map my driver go in the opposite direction of the restaurant or pick up my order and drive to another far away location first when they could have stopped at my place first.
Gh is good paying wise..just pay attention to delivery distances. They got so desperate to get me on the road after I kept declining that they sent me a $35 order. It's all market dependent. In some areas DD is better.
GrubHub will compensate us more when the tip is lower. And then, once your driver picks up your order add a reasonable tip to the order. I delivered a half gallon of milk 10 miles and ended up making $25 for it because the driver did this, tipped about $1.26 when placing the order, I accepted the order for about $15 to go 10 miles, and then ...
lctucker2999. • 5 yr. ago. Three possibilities. The most likely, driver in good faith picked up your food, drove to the location provided on the app, tried to deliver, could not, then marked it delivered and left (per GH policy). 2nd, driver showed up, picked up food, left, and somehow order got canceled (not sure how this would happen) 3rd ...
Decide on a minimum $ amount and reject any offer that comes in below that amount. Stick to a specific delivery area, and know it well. That will help you decide if a delivery is too far to be worth it for the money. Know the restaurants in your area. That will help you know which restaurants are going to consistently screw you on time.
The biggest tip I can give you is to schedule yourself. GrubHub gives priority to drivers that are scheduled for blocks, and a lot of drivers in this Reddit ignore that fact. Reply reply. barryandorlevon. •. My area is pretty slow for GH, that contribution pay comes in clutch. Reply reply. x_ZEN-1_x. •.
So I didn't respond to the text and don't intend to. I tipped $5 on a $19 order from a restaurant 1.5 miles from my house. Thats a 26% tip. So, the reasoning the driver gave was because it's "too far". I don't order from places more than 3 miles away specifically not to be a dick and make people drive 10 miles to deliver my food and the fact I ...
Basically you will get your normal pay say $500 then you will get a Ca benefits deposit of around 10-20% so like an extra $100. Drivers Benefits fee is to cover the costs Grubhub has to provide for Prop 22 such as minimum earnings, insurance, and healthcare stipends. DoorDash, Uber, Instacart etc. all follow the same rules.
