Prithvi Highway. The Prithvi Highway or NH04 (previously: H04) (Nepali: पृथ्वी राजमार्ग) is a 174-kilometre-long (108 mi) highway connecting Naubise of Tribhuvan Highway, 26 km from Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, and Prithivi Chowk, Pokhara, a tourist city in the western part of Nepal. [ 1 ]
The highway starts at the Nepal–India border near Siddharthanagar and terminates at Pokhara. This highway intersects with the east–west Mahendra Highway at Butwal. [1] The highway construction was started in 1964 and completed in 1971. It was inaugurated by King Birendra on 9 May 1972 (25 Baisakh 2029 BS) in Pokhara.

Mid-Hill Highway is under construction. It is a national pride project that passes through 12 zones, 24 districts, and 215 VDCs. With a total length of 1,767 km, the highway connects Chiyo Bhanjyang of Pachthar district in the east with Jhulaghat of Baitadi district in the west. The bus ride from Kathmandu takes up to 24 hours to Musikot.
At Bardibas, the Highway meets with BP highway which is currently the shortest route to connect Kathmandu with the terai region. At Pathlaiya, Mahendra Highway reaches the Tribhuvan Highway near the Indian border at Raxaul/Birganj 30 km to the south. Kathmandu is 253 kilometres (157 mi) (by highway) north of this junction.
