I received a Bear Creek Arsenal complete upper from a very good friend for Christmas this year. I was blown away at his generosity. When it came i looked it over and didn't see anything that was out of place.

Posted: 8/24/2021 7:13:53 PM EDT. I bought a 458 socom upper from Bear Creek and the flash hider is stuck. Never had one that I couldn't get off. I put the barrel in a barrel block, cranked the vise down, put a wrench on the flash hider and gave the wrench a few hard whacks with a hammer and nothing. Does anybody know if Bear Creek uses ...
The stainless barrels for bear creek are pretty damn accurate. My stainless .450 BM barrel is 1.5 or under with Hornady black at 100. When IA allowed .450 BM for whitetail, I bought the barrel on sale for 80 bucks and a toolcraft bcg for 80 bucks. Had the rest of the parts laying around to assemble a rifle.
AR Sponsor: [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Diamondback vs Bear Creek Arsenal. ARCHIVED. Posted: 3/25/2023 9:41:04 AM EDT. I’m putting together my first AR. I got a cheap budget but looking for stuff that works. I have a PSA lower already and now looking at complete uppers. I’m pretty much decided to get either Diamondback or BCA upper.
I know of about 10 more uppers amongst my friends, only one upper has had a problem. there is a burr in the chamber of a 7.62X39 pistol upper. its gotta go back. Fun fact, before they were Bear Creek, they did business as Moore's Machine Company. They also sold shitty AR parts at bottom dollar to poors.
Posted: 11/22/2017 11:02:12 AM EDT. I am looking for a complete upper to finish off my daughter's Christmas present and have been looking at the PSA sale and a Bear Creek upper I found on Classic. Price after shipping is within $20. Reviews of Bear Creek barrels seem favorable although I found a thread about some rust on a 7.62X39 upper.
It sounds like Bear Creek is using old, corrosive 7.62x39 to test fire and then letting the barrels sit, hence the rust (not crud, but rust). A quick swipe with a Windex saturated patch followed by a CLP patch would probably go a long ways towards mitigating the rust. Posted: 10/2/2017 8:01:23 PM EDT.
I just got an answer from Bear Creek Arsenal on the Diameter of their 7.62x39 upper barrels. Thanks for contacting Bear Creek Arsenal. The bore groove is .3002, the bore diameter is .312. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. Regards, Michael.
Remove the hand guard and clamp as much of the barrel in the vice jaws as you can. If you don’t have a barrel clamp, wrap it in leather. As Assh stated, anchor the barrel, not the receiver. [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Bear Creek Arsenal FH removal issue. Cannot get the FH off.
