Because shortened seasons 7 and 8 should have needed 3 full seasons. Seasons 1 to 6 took the time to tell the story at a pace allowing subtlety and contemplation. Unequivocally yes. The show is a masterpiece start to finish. Sure the final seasons don't quite live up to the first, and there's a stark tonal and thematic shift when D&D took over the heavy lifting on the writing from GRRM. But even at its lowest points, the show beats 90% of television out there. Reply reply.
