  2. Backpack Pump Sprayer...Stihl or Solo?

    www.arboristsite.com/threads/backpack-pump-sprayer-stihl-or-solo.143726

Those are excellent sprayers. I have two. One advantage over many others is that they use an in-tank pump. MANY backpack sprayers have the pump mounted outside and beneath the fluid level, the pump develops a leak in the seal, and before you know it, you have insecticide (or worse) running down your backside and getting absorbed by the thin skin down below.

Yes. Jacto are the best hand-pump backpack sprayers. Some other small engine brands use Jacto sprayers with their paint on them. Shindaiwa sprayers were all made by Jactor. The wand and triggers are just decent, however. The best (by far) engine powered backpack sprayers are made by Maruyama.

Nov 17, 2015. #1. Hi, new to ArboristSite, have a query about the Stihl SR450; I noticed on the US Stihl website it mentions the SR450 can be run as a leaf blower? And I assume a fairly powerful one; it's air volume given as 920 m3/hr, comparable to a BR500. However, I am UK based, as the UK website makes no mention of this option for the SR450 ...

I'm going to recommend the stihl sg 20 for one very good reason : dealer support. Its a good design, but most importantly, you'll always have access to parts. Most sprayer malfunctions are bad seals or orings, and being able to just run to your local dealer and grab the right one is huge.

According to the reviews and the manufacturer's response to one of the reviews, the JB weld product does not work well on polyethylene or polypropylene. I have had luck repairing a hole/crack in the sprayer tank of a Stihl backpack sprayer by fiberglassing after sanding it, but I don't know what type of plastic that tank was made of or if the ...

In The Woods. May 21, 2024. #2. aich2oh said: I've been using a 30:1 hose end sprayer to spray 12-16 foot trees at 60 psi... it's way too much at around 3 gallons per minute. Most all of what I have found for backpack sprayers are targeted for 'turf' use, not trees. I'm on residences that have electric access, are'nt there any portable 1gpm ...

If Stihl can't or won't help and it was registered any dealer can tell you the first owner by going on-line to Stihl's Eservice system (every dealer was issued a log on recently). If not, you can get a really good idea by comparing the serial number to the various stihl tech notes and IPLs. The serial numbers are roughly sequential and assigned ...

Any opinions or experience with a backpack blower in this range? I've been very happy with the Stihl MS260 saw I picked-up used (based on lots of advice in threads here on aroristsite) but the Husqvarna blower never gave me any troubles either. Husqvarna 150BT, $170+tx, 494 CFM, 173mph, 50cc. Stihl BR 380 D, $329+tx, 465 CFM, 181mph, 56cc.

Picked up a Stihl HT131 yesterday and put it through its paces. Oh man I waited too long to get one of these! I’ve got an MS261 and 661, but being lifted into the canopy with an end loader tractor was just getting to damned hairy! Lol. I originally called up for a HT133 but the sales rep said they pulled all the 133s due to problems.

    94. Location. Alabama. Jul 18, 2014. #11. I've worked on several brands of small engines (mostly trimmers & blowers) and tested the compression in them. Most seem to fall in the 120-145 psi range if there is no visible piston damage. It is rare for me to find a blower or trimmer that is above 150 psi (which as you've noted is common on high ...
