Hey @Ampz , Thanks for reaching out 🙂. The average length of higher education lasts about 4 years in most countries, which is why Premium Student only lasts up to 4 years. Spotify understands that some students stay longer at a college/university, but unfortunately, no special exceptions can be made in such case.
I was validated using my Student ID and for the past 2 months I have been getting charged the full amount. Premium $9.99 but no mention of student discunt even though I signed up the method described in the HELP. @DCBenson. Please use the online contact form and someone at Spotify can help get this sorted.
Log-in to your Spotify account on a Laptop or Desktop. Go to this link to UPGRADE to Spotify Student ---> student upgrade. Click "Get Premium". Enter Credit Card information and click submit. Enter your First and Last Name, as well as your school name to verify that you're a student and click submit.
Once you've done this you can move on to the next step. Step 2. Open up "ingognito mode", log into your spotify account, go to "edit profile" and change your email to the one you're provided with by your school/institution, or the one that they have registered on you. Step 3.
The issue is simple either manually add the student discount especially if I am already verified or just tell me it doesn't exist. Skip all the dramatics and saying there is a glitch they are working on it blah blah blah.

I have the same issue with the student discount from the German Unidays website. I am registered there but the website tells me: "Wie es aussieht, kannst du das reduzierte Produkt, das du kaufen möchtest, nicht erhalten.
The next screen that opens is the /account/overview page that I linked above. I press manage subscription menu button, opens page showing that I have a cancelled premium subscription & asks if I'd like to get the discount for the student premium *select get discount* and loops back to /account/overview page. P.S. Spotify isn't stealing when they increase the rate after 12 months - when you first apply, you have to certify that you read the terms and conditions, which say that the discount only applies to the first 12 months, and you agree to being charged the full amount after 12 months unless you prove you are still a student.
