    There’s also a bigger ski culture. Most of my friends ski here. Troy has a pretty kickass Shaanxi place (Bite of Xian), for when you're passing though. Would be pretty convenient if you're skipping 7 for 2 to avoid Hoosick. One more is Hong Kong Bistro in Colonie for Cantonese.

    Gonna put my 2c in. If it has snowed, Belleayre has my favorite natural terrain: the short but fun Big T glade, the dreamcatcher glade, all the damn glades, and the crown: Cathedral Brook. Combine all these things with a Tuesday and its as good as you can get south of bigger mountains.

    Whiteface is a great mountain and its not really wide with tons of runs. Its mostly just very tall and not that wide. I do think Gore is a better mountain and more fun. I do recommend at least going to Whiteface at least once. Gore is the best Mountain in upstate New York I think or one of the better mountains.

    In Margaretville there is also a cute cafe called Cafe Marguerite they have amazing croissants, baked goods, and lattes I go there a lot during the day. 2nd favorite is Mornings Korean cafe off of highway 28 in arkville its new and has good Korean rice bowls, Macha, and lattes
