I can't find a way to change the date format (or language / region preferences) in iCloud settings that will affect Mail. And there is no community solution or KB article anywhere I can find. You can change the iCloud.com Calendar app date format preference but it doesn't impact Mail and neither does AppleID.apple.com settings.
Cannot get my iCloud custom domain to work; DNS settings specified by Apple do not work in Squarespace domain registrar; Specifically, Apple requires a period at the end of the MX & CNAME strings which Squarespace labels as "not a valid mail server" — have not received any eMail since setting up custom domains on iCloud mail.
If I go to Settings>my name>iCloud>(scroll to the very bottom) Mail — it still shows under “ICLOUD ACCOUNT INFORMATION” My old email address with @icloud.com. I tried using two factor authentication from my iCloud settings and doing it that way- no use. I then turned off two factor authentication and removed my Surface Pro 4 form my iCloud device list and added it back and tried signing in again- no use.
