The hatred towards Activision is more recent, like last decade recent. Back in the 2010's and before Activision was kind of tolerable remember fall of Cybertron was a 2012 game and unlike EA Activision did produce some good games. Now it's just the COD garbage overdrive. You can legally purchase a steam key on Amazon.

As of January 2018, Activision's license for making and selling Transformers-related games was not renewed. CD keys can sometimes be found from some online resellers, but the reliability of these may be questionable. Your best bet is to look for used copies of the games on physical discs for PC or consoles.

Op is evil they made me choose one. Fall of cybertron is not the best videogame, it's the best transformers thing ever created. Well anything you want now you gotta either find keys for or surf the seven seas. There's Devastation, TF 2007 and RotF, a Cyberverse game that should still be up, Dark Spark of course, the best game ever. But really "good" would be WFC and foc alongside Devastation. The rest are a kind of subjective level imo.
