  2. Sending CSS profile to new schools after a correction

    talk.collegeconfidential.com/t/sending-css-profile-to-new-schools-after-a...

I made the correction today. It is my understanding that the existing schools we had sent the CSS profile to (MIT and Michigan) would get the updates. I need to send the CSS profile to a couple additional schools (Cornell and Vanderbilt) but I no longer see an option on the CSS Profile dashboard to add schools.

CSS is done separately for each school as the questions can be different (and there is a fee for each school). FAFSA is the same for all schools and you can add schools later. After submitting you need to wait a few days for processing before removing the first school (s) and adding more. FAFSA is also free. Propinquity4444 November 12, 2018 ...

<p>I personally think most state flagship universities are excellent schools. The only ones that require the Profile are UVA, UMich and UNC-CH. The rest of them are FAFSA only. </p> <p>But this student would be paying OOS costs at all but one state flagship. And these schools do not guarantee to meet full need.

<p>the CSS Profile let’s all the colleges see who else you are sending it to! so if you send it to 6 schools they will all know where else you are applying… this doesn’t seem fair, but the college board is not really interested in what’s fair.</p> <p>one question… if you send the CSS Profile to 2 of your 6 now, then 2 more in december and the last 2 in january, then only the january ...

For CSS Profile Schools, I would say…ignore the FAFSA SAI (which is the new term for EFC). Really, all that number does is give the colleges your eligibility for federally funded grant aid like the Pell (if you are eligible), and allows your student to take the federally funded Direct Loan.

TheresaCPA January 1, 2008, 12:11pm 3. <p>I only had half of the colleges on CSS. Some do the profile on their own website and others only work with fafsa final filings. It’s a lot to keep track of so make an inventory and another checklist.</p>. DReicht January 2, 2008, 8:14pm 4.

There are no fee waivers for international students and you are taling about approximately $500 for the profile alone, not counting application fees and the cost to send test scores. JBSeattle November 13, 2018, 3:33pm 6. It could be $2,000 as just the app feed would be around $1,500 (assuming $50 average per app).

Each school has its own way it wants to recieve CSS updates. I have read from many school websites that they will update the CSS with the ACTUAL tax documents so you don’t have to worry about making those changes/updates. If you have other changes/updates I saw a few schools suggesting you print out the CSS, make the changes by hand on the ...

<p>I only want schools that will not require the CSS profile. I’m okay with the fafsa, but there is almost no chance of me receiving aid with the CSS. I really wanted to check out George Washington University, Northeastern, Syracuse and BU, but they all require the CSS. I’m down to my last choice, Marist and looking around these CC posts, most people don’t seem to like the school. I’m ...
