Add the account in Quicken. Select "Advanced Options", then select Direct Connect. The added account should be Direct Connect with Bank Bill Pay activated. (see attached picture) Now I have 2 checking accounts, one at Fifth Third, one at PNC, bank bill pay is enabled in Quicken for both of them. tbauer Member .
I have tried to re-enable 53 direct connect but am prompted for a unique "Internet Banking ID and Password" that is NOT the same as the "login to the Fifth Third Bank Web site." Your Quicken login is the same as your login to the Fifth Third Bank Web site. Please use your Fifth Third Internet Banking ID and Password to access Quicken.
FYI, until this issue is resolved, you can login to Fifth Third and export the transactions from each account. Choose the QFX option and submit. When Quicken opens, link the file to the appropriate account and then you will be able to accept them. I was able to reconcile the accounts after importing the files.

Absolutely ridiculous! Fifth Third Bank just confirmed this problem has been preventing their customers from connecting with Quicken since 1/19/2023. That means as of today, this system has been down for 3 weeks. Seeing that I can connect to several banks other than Fifth Third, it seems obvious the problem is on Fifth Third's side.

Unable to add Credit Card from Fifth Third. ricklynchcore Member . January 2022 edited March 2022. Both my Checking and Savings accounts at Fifth Third are set up for direct connect download. When I go to "set up", to add a recent Credit Card, both my Checking and Savings accounts show, but no credit card?
The bank sent me back to Quicken. Finally, got Fifth Third to research the problems and now I'm being told it's a new "multi function" card and it is not supported by Quicken and probably never will be. What's the purpose of an application that's suppose to make managing financial transactions easier if it doesn't support the financial products ...

On multiple occasions I've received a message from Quicken when I try to update my 5/3 password that "The information Quicken has from Fifth Third Bank is that the password can be no longer than 12 characters long." I have checked with Fifth Third Bank and they say this information is incorrect - the length can be up to 24 characters.
