The only thing is I haven't read many good reviews about it. Our cycle would be every two weeks given our location. We were thinking about renting a water dispenser for $5.99 and ordering the $6.99 5-Gallon water bottles each cycle. It looks like there's also a fee of $12 per every drop off.

The price per bottle went from $12.99 to $7.99 and the price is good for 3-years. The water is delivered by the same company and the same driver as before, only $5 less per bottle. Needless to say, this Costco benefit pays for Executive membership after only 3 months each year. Reply reply. GroundbreakingLake51.

  4. Bottled Water vs Water Delivery Moral Dilemma : r/Costco - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/Costco/comments/170tfa9/bottled_water_vs_water_delivery_moral...

Here is my moral dilemma: 40 Pack of Kirkland Bottled Water is $3.99, making it $0.76 per gallon. Every 5 Gal of Water with the rental and delivery fee comes out to $2.44 per gallon. I don't mind lugging a case of water or two every time I go to Costco. But I hate the idea of wasting so much plastic.

EPA oversees municipal. Purity standards are waaaay lower, and testing much less frequent, for bottled water. At best, buying bottled is paying a 2000% mark-up to get microplastics in branded water that is diverted from municipalities. Oh, and of course, paying to privatize the most important resource.

  6. Here are some bottled water brands that have no detectable levels ofPFAS: Waiākea Hawaiian Volcanic Water: Has no PFAS in any of its products, including its sparkling and non-carbonated water. Arrowhead Natural Spring Water: One of the safest bottled water brands to drink based on PFAS testing.

  7. Bottled water is now $8.99 instead of $3.99? : r/Costco - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/Costco/comments/ua05sm/bottled_water_is_now_899_instead_of_399

Seems like it was $2.79 for years, then $3.19 a couple of months ago, now $3.99. I always remember it being at 2.99 for years and then back around January it got raised to 3.19 and couple weeks later to 3.39 and then maybe around April it became 3.99 and now last week it got raised to 4.39 lol.

  8. Costco water delivery : r/Costco - Reddit

At one point, Ready Refresh (i.e., Nestle Waters) was charging something like $12.99 per 5-gallon bottle, and we have a large family so that was $12.99*10 or $130/per month plus delivery and taxes. When I learned about Costco’s water delivery service, I called the number and they quoted me $7.99/bottle for the same water, and it’s delivered ...

  9. Picking up bottled water at Costco for my work - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/.../comments/51ll5y/picking_up_bottled_water_at_costco_for_my_work

The more outrageous the story the better! Picking up bottled water at Costco for my work. I work for a company that supplies bottled water to it's employees, so I pick up maybe 15-20 cases at a time from our local Costco. I was wearing a black shirt so I didn't think I looked like any employee there. But that didn't stop one lady from thinking ...

  10. Why is the gallon water more expensive than 16oz bottles?

    www.reddit.com/r/Costco/comments/dkpdh6/why_is_the_gallon_water_more_expensive...

Gallon jugs just don’t have as many uses as individual bottles. I think the bottled waters are a loss leader. That is... an item sold at an extremely low profit just to bring people in the store. Doesn’t make much sense to me. My local souther California Costco has gallon water at about 86¢/ gallon, and the 16.9oz at 56¢/ gallon.

  11. Costco water now has a bad taste? : r/Costco - Reddit

    www.reddit.com/r/Costco/comments/1dsgv1i/costco_water_now_has_a_bad_taste

Tastes fine to me in the southeast. I've never liked the taste of Costco bottled water. Just tastes strange to me so I get another brand at the store. That’s what you get for STILL drinking bottled water in 2024. I have no problems with my hydro flask and numerous areas to refill it through society.
