The original series was broadcast for three seasons by the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) from January 1959 to July 1961.
Starting with season fifteen's "XIV" (2003), only one writer was credited as having written a Treehouse of Horror episode, and the trend has continued through season thirty-three's "XXXII" (2021). Season thirty-four's "XXXIII" (2022) went back to the earlier motion of having different writers for each segment.
