Talbot's as far as aggression are almost not even damsels, outside of spawning they lose to everything that isn't a firefish when it comes to aggression, great fish and very under appreciated IMO. Their territories are about the size of a softball, and they don't even defend those aggressively. Sep 30, 2018. #12.

Initially eating food in the water column was tough since his depth perception was way off. But, he adapted.

You don't want anything in the Dascyllus genus (domino, white tail, 3/4 stripe), and you don't want any Neoglypidodon (Cross's) either. Thanks for the tip!
If you can find one, Chrysiptera tricincta is small like the others, has those bold black and white patterns without being the hellions that the Dascyllus (3 Stripe and 4 Stripe) are. Chrysiptera parasema= Yellowtail, Chrysiptera rollandi=Rolland’s, Chrysiptera hemicyanea=Azure, Chrysiptera Talbots=Talbot’s.
While that may be true, he's still a jerk sometimes to my possum wrasse, fire fish and royal gramma until the later got fed up and now doesn't let the damsel anywhere near him. The azure and gramma go at it sometimes until one of the clown fish comes out of nowhere and sets them both straight. May 29, 2020. #20.

Out of this list I have mixed and owned in a 40 breeder Azures x 3 and Talbots x 3. In my current 210 display I have 7 sapphires, 1 azure, and 1 surge. Sapphires are by far the largest damsels in the tank and somewhat the most frisky. They are spawning so constantly digging, guarding, and doing the mating dance.
If so, a smaller fairy or flasher wrasse would be a nice choice. A basslet, hawkfish, pair of clowns, maybe a orchid dottyback (most passive dottyback, others are quite ornery), talbots damsels (also more peaceful than typical damsels), a nice goby... lot's of choices.
