By the way, the fuser on the main board is very small and soldered in, it is not a user replaceable fuse. With dual head printers like the S50670, S50675, S70600, S80600, S40600, you can put the printer in single head mode and run with just one head if you have print quality issues with one head. If you have a 1A39 error, the printer will not run.
The 60600 doesn't have white, orange or light inks but for general sign printing those aren't needed. The small droplet size means light inks aren't necessary. The 4 colour ink set has plenty of gamut and backlits are stunning. 60600s have an additional dryer too. S.
Feb 14, 2018. #6. The Epson S series come with Onyx GamaPrint RIP. We went ahead and purchased Onyx's Production House to get more capabilities. There are plenty of profiles available at Onyx's website to download. And out of the box, they are all pretty good, in my experience.

I was a former Dell Field Tech but now Iam repairing some of the coolest printers in the world. Ask me anything. Since I work on Epson printers almost everyday, Ill see if I cant help out with any questions that pop up in the Epson sub forum if it relates to repairing or servicing them.
Years ago I took a 3880 apart and found out the head was solvent resistant including the manifold. The issue you run into with that machine and some of the other epson printers isn't the solvent ink so much as there are so many aftermarket solvent parts available. It is controlling the channels so you can actually build a profile.
Epson are fine machines (and nicely priced) but the problem is service - they only use Decision One for their repairs/service and I've heard some pretty bad feedback from customers regarding that - personally, I would investigate other users in your local area who have Epsons and see what their service has been like.
Sep 26, 2016. #17. The Epson S-Series printers include over 100 profiles with the included Onyx RIP and have a media server you can download many more profiles from based on media type or manufacturer. The profiles are created by Epson to optimize performance with the S-Series.
