Re: Old Navy Store Card Approval! I started with a $200 limit on my Old Navy card. I got the limit raised to $2,000 via chat about three months later. When my TU score went over 700, I got the limit raised to $10,000. It now sits at $5,000 (via a request for a CLD since I couldn't buy $10,000 worth of clothes for myself in a lifetime).
I started to immediately say no, but asked who the issuer was instead. The cashier knew the answer right off and said Barclay's Bank. I didn't know Barclay's issued the Old Navy card. I went ahead with it since I figured I'd get the Mastercard version. Instant approval and $5400 SL. Pulled TU with a FICO 8 score of 698. APPROVED! Message 1 of 15.

However I applied for lowes and was declined I was under the impression that since they were under the Synchrony bank umbrella that I would automatically be approved.
Re: Old Navy not an instant approval.. Unfortunately, Synchrony bank does not recon computer denials. I think you might have "hit the wall" on your app spree. I have several questions about applying for credit. Hopefully those who are serving or have served can enlighten me. I've noticed that on some credit card applications employer name is required. For tax purposes, I believe employer name is listed as DFAS. 1.

Re: Old Navy offered me card, then 7-10 message. I didn't know Syncb did preapprovals or SCT. I thought it was only Comenity. Maybe this is normal for them. Call and ask. Keep us updated. GL. Re: Old Navy card pre-approval. Should be pre-approved but some of these type store cards can have very low limits and very high APR. The last thing you want to do to rebuild credit is open up 10 store cards with $200 limits. GL!

Very excited to have logged n this morning to see the Visa upgrade pop up on my Old Navy card. Very Disapointed to see that the limit was only $2,200 when my store card limit was.$3,600. :smileysad: Chat rep said I request higher limit once the card comes. Fingers crossed
