Well yes and no... Here is an example: I work with a guy names Jesus. Now at first I thought that was a very weird name to have, because he is the first "Jesus" I have known outside the Bible context.
He was only allowed to socialize with others from the church, their beliefs of other Christians were that if you were not from their church you were not saved and women were silent in the church and in the home. At one time they were listed on the FBI cult watch list for their controlling ways. Not a liberal church at all.

The United Church of Christ could not be more different from the Episcopal Church. It is not a liturgical church and it's background is Reformed.
