Offerup's terms specifically say you have to be 13 to even sign up, and need parent permission between 13 and 18. Not just "parent permission for an account", but "parent permission for every use". Kids can't sell things without parental permission. Can’t per the TOS, but can, and do, in practice.

Portland loves buying from the pre-loved sites more than any other place I lived. When we had to mass unload we used Craigslist, OfferUp, and FB marketplace. Met some really cool ppl in the process. Good luck!

I despise FB with the heat of a thousand suns, but it's been more effective for me than OfferUp. I may try CL if I have to sell more stuff. 1. Award. Share. c2chaos. • 7 mo. ago. I use Offerup, Nextdoor and CL. Nextdoor has been the best in terms of turnaround and least hassle.

Another day on offerup. I would take that as an insult, and as a seller they are running the risk of being blocked from doing any future business with me. Can't remember the last time when a buyer made an insulting offer. I remember when trolling was funny especially when they do it at certain platforms. That's the ultimate low ball.

If I'm in a pinch and need to sell it now, Craigslist will always be my go to. If I want to sit on what I'm trying to sell and wait for a while for the right price, OfferUp is okay. The whole "make an offer" part of it seems to encourage people to lowball you though.

Portland roads suck, and any more cushion you can get with tires is great. Plus adding fenders and a rack (for a waterproof pannier) may be trickier on a road bike. It is doable, and lots of people do it, but road bikers get to choose their pavement in a way that commuters don't, so I like to have at least 35mm tires, plus fenders, which may ...

OfferUp is decent, as everyone is generally vetted on there (has photo, reviews, linked to Facebook account, etc.) Still have a few bozos that low ball, but I generally find that it's a better selling experience. Craigslist still seems to be the place to sell, but I got tired of dealing with the constant low balling and general bullshit.

Well you shouldn't made any payments outside the app. App wouldn't cover you if you send money to somebody. Offerup doesn't give the money to the seller , buyer has 3 days to inspect item and request a return in case of something wrong with item. Offerup uses PayPal and PayPal gives buyers protection. 1.
