My first FAL is according to the internet gurus one of the worst made. Its a Century built on a Hesse FAL-H receiver. However, this gun has always been totally reliable and very accurate. Its one of my favorite guns. The gun appears to have been built with new Austrailian parts or parts with very little use.

From the side shots, it looks like a blade. I don't find the blades comfortable so I use SBA3 as they are much better for use as a "stock". View Quote. H&R on the right, M&A CAR stock on the left. It's pretty much a blade.

Be advised, the locking pin is not threaded. It is a twist lock style. So if you are going to take it apart you need to depress the plunger from the top and then slide the ring down on the shaft and turn it 90 degrees. There are tabs and flats with a clearance cut down the shaft where it can rotate.

Also of note is that in my notes its suggested that both were transitional in nature, with some of each having A1 lowers and others have A2 lowers. Not sure if that's true or not. NOT a1 lowers. A1 lowes have a full fence. the delta had SP-1 lowers at first. which was A1 profile but no magazine button fencing.

From the item description: This comes as a "brace body only" you will need to provide your own pin, spring, lever, & nut. I find that a cheap butt stock from somewhere like cdnnsports.com works best. The last two photos show a fully assembled brace with hardware from a generic M4 stock.

  10. Barrel nut torque procedure - AR15.COM

But the ACTUAL torque applied to the barrel nut is NOT what the procedure calls for. AS DESIGNED, the AR15 system applies a clamping force on the barrel flange by torquing the barrel nut onto the upper. That clamping force comes from the steel nut stretching the aluminum of the upper to some extent.
