JacksonPollock. ·Dec 24, 2019. Recently ran into some issues buying on Chrono24 and learned a couple of things that could be beneficial to the future Chrono24 buyer. Sellers can list the watch at a low price just to attract offers. Since Chrono24 doesn't allow you to change your offer once it's sent, your first offer must be your highest.

  3. Chrono24 vs eBay watch purchase - Omega Forums

Chrono24 has a decent return policy and eBay has their annoying eval program -- which since they have a track record of misauthenticating boxes and bracelets and the such, it's best you do YOUR research and do YOUR due diligence and ask all YOUR questions BEFORE you buy, not AFTER. 1. 4. New Chrono24 sales fee 5% - Omega Forums

    omegaforums.net/threads/new-chrono24-sales-fee-5.119097

And now Chrono24 wants buyers to pay a 5% "sales" fee. This is obnoxious. My feeling is that the nominal payer of the fee really doesn't matter in the long run, what's more important is the total amount of all fees and taxes. On eBay, sellers pay the fees, at auctions, buyers pay the fees (or mostly, at least).

Chrono24 can contact BNPP to find out if the transaction has completed or is being held up for some reason. Chrono24 should be able to get a copy of the MT202COV message as well for validation. All SWIFT transactions involving correspondent banking (i.e. BNPP to HSBC France in this case) should have both a MT103 and MT202COV, although sometimes ...

AnotherDon. · Sep 8, 2017. The US import tax rules are complex. You don't pay an import tax on "a watch". At the risk of over-simplifying the situation, there are tax rates on the case, tax rates on the strap (if it's croc or alligator you need a CITES tag to get the strap through Customs) or bracelet, and tax rates on the movement.

WatchVaultNYC. I'm on Chrono24, Ebay, Watchuseek, etc selling dozens of Omega watches. If you want it to sell quickly, go on Ebay but expect lower prices, and a hefty commission. If you want the highest prices, go to Chrono24, but be prepared to wait forever. On Chrono24, people by default use Trusted Checkout, which is a bank transfer payment ...

WatchVaultNYC. Chrono24 is cheaper than Ebay once the sale price is above around $1K. Chrono24 cost is basically the listing fee ($99), and you don't see the 3% commission levied on the buyer. On Ebay its 9% Ebay commission + 2.9% Paypal commission = 11.9% total commission. There bleeding us dry. Posts. 256. Likes.

Bankwire is scary to an anonymous entity, but I've had realative success with using chrono24 w. paypal. Posts.

There may be a grail that comes up on Chrono24 that you want - where a risk/benefit analysis will skew towards having the watch. If/when that time comes, if it is any comfort I expect Chono24 would have to have very, very strict data protection policies in place to secure a European banking license (which is essentially what escrow is to my ...
