Josef Weider ( / ˈwiːdər /; November 29, 1919 – March 23, 2013) [ 1] was a Canadian bodybuilder and entrepreneur who co-founded the International Federation of BodyBuilders (IFBB) alongside his brother Ben Weider. He was also the creator of Mr. Olympia, Ms. Olympia, and the Masters Olympia bodybuilding contests.
Webster was also an official in bodybuilding, and was a founding member of the National Amateur Bodybuilding Association (NABBA). In the 1995 Birthday Honours, Webster was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to sport. David P. Webster died from complications of dementia on 18 October 2023, at the age of 95.
