TL;DR. Make sure you already meet the requirements for remote play (which can be found on their website). Make sure your NAT type is open on your PC. Check to see if your NAT type says "NAT Type 2" in the information settings on the remote play app. I hope this helps at least one of you out there struggling with this issue.

Use DS4 windows, it helps ALOT with the controller. It most likely will never be updated. With DS4Windows you can make your PC believe that your Dualsense is an Xbox or DS4 controller. That way you should be able to use it wirelessly. You have to plug it in to your laptop and it (controller) has to be fully updated.
Yes technically. But you have to spend a few dollars. Lookup "PSPlay" on the play store. It's like the remote app, but you can use Xbox controller if you want. Ds4windows and make an profile that emulates dualshock. It's open source and free. Rewasd is an paid option.
My Remote play stream has been locked to 30 fps on PC even with amazing internet. After much searching I found that going into Nvidia Control Panel, manage 3D settings, and forcing PS Remote Play to 60 FPS Max Frame Rate finally solved my woes. Just putting this here in case anyone looking for a fix needed a different option.
PS5. I am able to play on Remote Play using the PS5 DualSense controllover on PC but only when it's wired (connected through a cable). If the controller is connected to the PC via bluetooth, it won't work on Remote Play. I had read a few suggestions to use DS4Windows app and I installed that already on my PC but it still doesn't work.
