Any remainder Comenity Wayfair accounts would get shut down as of yesterday. Wayfair has a new business relationship with Citi that started accepting new applications on 9/10 and they have both a MasterCard and store card version. However, to receive the Citi branded Card requires that you reapply. Hope this helps!
Wayfair and Comenity's contract ended, so Comenity (the backer of the credit accounts) issued Comenity MasterCards to replace the former Wayfair Store card. Wayfair made a new deal with Citibank to back their new cards (both store and MasterCard versions). The accounts really belong to the issuing banks and not the store.

I have had my Wayfair card for 2+ years and today in the mail I received a replacement card that is a Comenity Visa card. Same credit limit. I don't recall seeing any emails or other notification about this - OK Visa is more flexible than store card so I'm happy. FYI I don't see any way to ask...
