Check the posting for "68-70 restoration details" on this message board. Here is the cut and paste of the important info: 7 blade flex fans, With Heavy Duty Cooling (WHDC): 1968: 3185020. 1969: 3195201. 1970: 3197749. The 1968 fan does not have the AMC PN stamped on it. It does have a PN, but I assume it is a vendor PN.

Posted: Jun/13/2012 at 1:32am. anyone know where to get a replacement radio choke. I'm going over the instrument board on my 70 Javelin SST and the choke doesn't pass any voltage. At first I thought the problem was the IVR but it checks good. Seems the choke only has to heat up a very little and the voltage stops coming thru.
These are brand new direct bolt in replacement fuse panel for 1967~69, 1970~1973, and 1974~77 AMCs. I did split a couple circuits and added two more fuses. The black plastic on the back is a 3d printed backing plate to help protect the circuit board when it is mounted. 1967~69 & 1970~73 are $65 each. 1974~77 are $70 each.
Quote Reply Topic: Circuit board pins Posted: Apr/23/2020 at 6:36pm Anyone know a source for the brass pins on the circuit board on a '66 American, I had to pull the cluster out since the radio suppressor broke off carrying current between the pins for the gauges, I was careful pulling the plug and still broke 3 pins.
That is a noise suppressing choke. There must be continuity between the two terminals or the IVR won't be powered and, hence, the fuel and temp gauges won't work. You can find a replacement choke, or you can short the two terminals with a piece of wire.
THE MENACE wrote: It's been a while, nut IIRC my 70 AMX and 70 Javelin have a grounding strap that is attached to the post of the headlight switch and runs over the one of the cluster mounting screws. That is to ground the wiper switch. There is indeed a strap that goes from the wiper switch to the cluster ground.
I cam from the upper "emergency brake" pedal sheet metal and hit both the switch and the negative connection on the printed circuit board. Perry 70 Javelin SST 390, 69 AMX 343, 73 AMX 360, 92 Corvette Covertible (modern muscle to keep wife happy).
