They designed and dimensioned the part they were modeling using MMGS, thinking all the units were in IPS. They wanted to convert over to IPS, but keep the numerical value of all the units the same. Change UNITS default setting. DC By David Cong 09/17/09. The SW was installed with the metric setting of UNITS. I change that to ips (inch-pound-second) units. When the SW retarted, it goes back to the metric setting. How can the change be made permanently?
Basically I need to 3D print C-mount and I need to make threads so it fits the existing parts. The thread is nominally 1.000 inch (25.4 mm) in diameter, with 32 threads per inch, designated as "1-32 UN 2A" in the ANSI B1.1 standard for unified screw threads. All is need is details of the slicing profile or even better CAD model.
