As of about 2215 on 7/18/2024, while watching, MeTV channel 117 froze up and stopped working. The SD version (channel 15) also not available. The MeTV+ channel same issue. All other channels working. Not able to stream channel 117 or 15 either. I assume KFFV (MeTV in Seattle area) has been removed from the Xfinity lineup, but cannot confirm.
In the Portland, Or area, we received a banner in August stating that KATU TV would stop sponsoring MeTV, effective 1 September. No other explanation. I did some digging, including going to MeTV's website. They referred me to FRNDLY (wrong timezone), or OTA (possible, but I'm not putting a retro antenna back on my roof for one show).

MeTV Toons is a BROADCAST network carried by a LOCAL TV station. Comcast cannot add it directly. IF a local station will be carrying it, then it depends on the retransmission agreement with that station. If it's replacing an existing network on a channel Comcast already carries, then it will probably be carried by Comcast.

2 Messages. 2 months ago. As of today, August 4th 2024, I am also experiencing no sound volume on MeTv channel through xfinity. This is an issue that needs to be resolved. I’ve been a loyal customer with xfinity for more than 24 years, and my monthly subscription runs upwards $180.00 a month.
As noted, for most it's up to a local TV station to carry it, and whether that station has an agreement to carry new channels if it is not replacing some other network on an already-carried channel. Even if they put it on a new subchannel, it can sometimes take awhile for the technical side to add it into the Comcast signal.
MeTV. For whatever reason (s) Xfinity decided to drop MeTV on September 1, 2022. It used to be on channel 302 in the Portland Oregon area (I live in an area where it is impossible to receive OTA (over the air) television programming). It was supposed to be available on channel 1197 on September 13, 2022.
