Chris. Maybe this will help your answers, I just pulled the headlight relay off the inside fuse panel after removing it to get to the ONLY large white multiple connector on the left side. There is NO signs of heat damage to that connector or the wiring. The relay DOES have discoloration to tabs 87 and 87b.
One of those wires at the New Radio does NOT have Voltage +. Could be the Lighting wire, Ignition, or the Battery wire. Assuming ALL the Fuses have Voltage under the Hood, then it has to be a connection at the Fuses or at the Radio. IF a short occurred, can be a wire, Breaker, or a number of things.
Chrysler Mechanic: MoparCertified. Alright, lets try something. Make up a paper clip or something and insert it into the back of the connector on the wire that has 4.5 volts. Chrysler dealer has just tried to replace faulty turn signal multi switch in Right 2002 PT Cruiser (Fog lights coming on when turn signal operated). The new switch promptly blew the turn signal fuses and even trying to put the old switch back in blows the fuses as well.
Fuses for 2002 chrysler pt cruiser What confused me about the PT when I first got one is that, unlike other cars I had owned, there are fuses in two locations - under the dash and under the hood. I am making a wild guess that you have checked for a bad fuse in one of those locations and have overlooked the other.
1 Answer. Number 18 fuse in the box under the hood should be blown. Check your owners manual for details. make sure than the car has not any aftermarket alarm installed if it does have it remove it. check for a shorted to ground positive wire repair as nesseacry.
