I suggest 7500 so that you can get 4 free maintenance. If you do at 8000 interval, you will only get 3 free ones. Manual is right, but it is recommended to get it done earlier on the first one because that is when you are going to find any apparent issues after break in.

Hi! I have a used 2018 Hyundai Elantra with 23k miles. As Hyundai is a budget automobile brand, I want to be a little over conservative with car maintenance. For example, I was told by someone who works at a Hyundai manufacturing plant to get oil changes every 5K miles.
