there are a couple of Android tv x86 iso's , no Google tv based ones sadly but I do have a few Android 8 and 9 iso's. for x86 you can install cloudready, which is chrome OS. This is essentially an HTPC at this point, so if you really just want the Android TV OS then I would suggest doing the easy thing and just buying an actual console like the Mi Box or Shield. Live channels (bad aspect ratio) chromecast. In order to get the 4K output, I had to make changes to a couple of files. I edited the android.cfg grub config file to force only HDMI output. I also added a new kernel boot param 'hdmi_audio' to be used by the second modification needed. The second was /system/etc/init.sh.
Kodi. Best is kodi and you should use the default kodi player. It works perfect for me and all menus work as well. you can load and play iso files or riped directories with no problem. Try VLC.
