Care Bears: The Nutcracker was a 1988 animated short based extremely loosely on the original ballet. It was made for video, and was first shown on TV on the Disney Channel. The Jetlag Productions animation studio produced its own version of the story in 1994 entitled, simply "The Nutcracker".
