  2. Browning "Sticky Stock" - Need some suggestions - GON Forum

    forum.gon.com/threads/browning-sticky-stock-need-some...

Senior Member. I have a Browning X-Bolt rifle with the synthetic stock. Browning used something called "dura touch" on these stocks and after a few years the chemicals begin to breakdown and the stock becomes sticky. Browning will replace it but it's a pain to ship it back to them and then wait approx 9 months to get your rifle back.

Expieriences range for firearm repair, from 1 hour to several months. This was a used bt99 and the shop sent it to Browning not the owner. The gunshop is who he should be aggravated with, not Browning. The gunshop should be fully aware of the turn around time dealing with Browning, if they have been in business selling shotguns for any length of ...

Call Browning, yes, they own Winchester, ask for the parts dept. Tell them the issue with your SX-3 and have the serial number available. They should ship you a new stock and fore arm. They did this for me on my SX-3 and another fellow shooter with a Browning, same problem. bigbore613 and Octoberclaire2.

I am a sucker for Browning shotguns, not sure why but always loved shooting them. Especially the older ones. I always preferred my Remington's for hunting but old Browning's are sweet! My dad picked up a Double Automatic Twelvette from a co-worker in the late 80's for $150 bucks that I absolutely loved. Killed a thousand doves that thing.

Unlike "who ever heard of them" Turkish gun company, Browning has been in the business of quality firearms for generations of shooters. A used Browning could likely outlast the average recreational shooter. Beretta shotguns offer similar reliability. The same cannot be said for the flock of cheap and questionable imports.

  10. Remington 750 vs. Browning BAR - GON Forum

    forum.gon.com/threads/remington-750-vs-browning-bar.436026

This was history making for Browning, as the BAR was the first Browning firearm made in Belgium with assembly at an all new Browning plant in Viana, Portugal. Today, the Portugal factory has grown to be a major component of the Browning manufacturing system and is where the BAR continues to be assembled today, as well as the 12 and 20 gauge ...

Disappointed in Browning Customer Service. New member here. I recently got into trap shooting and even more recently decided to purchase a 725 Citori Trap gun. The gun was shooting and performing great for the first month of ownership. I might have had 250 rounds through the gun when I noticed one day the stock seemed loose.
