I pulled a Harley Davidson FXR out of Texas dirt cheap and walked into the DMV and they wanted $600.00. I threw a fit and their supervisor came over and says it doesnt apply to motorcycles and tore up that paperwork..WEW.
You have to take the tests first, get a permit, then come in to the DMV (with a truck) and do the walk around. IF you pass the walk around...you take the behind the wheel test. If you come down to the DMV with the truck and fail the walk around, you are done. You must go read the book and make a new appointment.

But it's still on the DMV records, it turns out. $631 in back fees. So it looks like there's no more of the "it'll fall off the records in 5 years, or 7 years". I'm thinking that stuff is going to permanently be on the DMV records now, which'll make buying used vehicles even more interesting.
