   All of express shipping companies require phone numbers to deliver packages, but there's no mandatory field for phone number on the check-out. Not always buyers notice my messages when I ask for phone numbers and it can delay the deliveries even up to few weeks.

   I have the Etsy seller app on my phone but I am thinking about adding an extra level of customer service. This would probably only work as incoming to me (I have unlimited text plan) though eBay does provide a customer phone number, I don't see Etsy does.

   Etsy is by far the worst when it comes to customer service. No number to call. Its hit or miss if they respond, and when they do they give you a copy paste response and just direct you to read something, without even answering your questions. When you tell them youve already read it, and are seeking a human solution to the problem they ghost you.

    Talking over the phone, a customer might think they said one thing, but didn't actually mention it. Or I might think I heard turquoise when a customer believes she said teal. Phone communication complicates the custom order process and interferes with me providing the best possible customer service.
