    We have a local event at the track coming up next month. Basics are: plates, insurance, full interior with exception of rear seats removed. working lights ect. no lexan, no slicks or drag radials. Tires must be over 300 tread wear rating. must have DOT stamp.

    Richard Petty had been doing some drag racing as early as 1959 from what I've heard and have seen photos of a 1962 Plymouth S/S car that he ran back then. Billy West (Little Pilgrim S/S Plymouths) worked for the Pettys and on occassion Richard Petty drove the Little Pilgrim in special match races ... even so far north as Islip Speedway in 1964.

    You can NOT make this shit up. 4x FSS COPOs got caught running too small of a blower pulley(as well as both Stanfields in F/X too), so the NHRA fines them $2500 each while AT THE SAME TIME making a "parity change" to allow COPOs to run the smaller blower pulley Both of these are 9/6 updates...

    When I was old enough I started bracket racing (while still following class racing) and have done so for the past almost 40 years. I've spectated or raced at literally dozens and dozens of tracks up and down the eastern United States with many different cars in many different classes and shudder to think of how much money I've spent over the years.

    Judging by the long promod rear coil overs I would guess the first one, but that is a 4 link big tire car, drag radial mustang guys seem to like stiffer springs, from the threads I found. Mustang guys when you go up from a 200# spring to a 250# or 275# replacement style spring, do you get shorter springs?
