Typing some Japanese and pressing F7 before hitting Enter converts everything I've typed to katakana if I want katakana. Those are the only two keyboard shortcuts I need to type everything I want, and my spacebar/backspace keys are full-sized (: (Disclaimer: I always use Google's Japanese IME, even for English.
I prefer English. Mainly because I can understand English better. I study Japanese, but I'm not at the level yet where I can pick up on nuances and word choices. Plus, the English voices are starting to grow on me. I have some issues with how Volume sounds like in the Lobby.
