PhonesAddict98. •• Edited. Yep, there are big rumours about the Zen 5 arch featuring a much improved, wider front end and larger caches with a bigger L1 & L2 per core. Much improved design process and lithography will potentially allow for a more efficient design and bumped up clocks at the same power envelope.
On idle status, it is around 40-50C; in games, it is around 70-80C. Comparing with Intel CPUs, it is higher; the CPU is designed to have 91C as hardware temperature limit, so 80C is still not an issue. AM5 CPUs are generally hotter, since its thermal design does not efficiently "transfer" the heat inside out; for 7800X3D, 360mm AIO and regular ...
Tracker thread for AM5 Bios updates with voltage restrictions (to prevent X3D's frying) Overclocking. Following the recent incidents where AM5 X3D CPU's got fried, allegedly due to too high voltage settings applied when enabling EXPO, it seems that some Motherboard manufactures have reacted already and silently released BIOS revisions with ...

What I have tried to resolve the issue : All driver versions ranging from 23.11 to 24.3. Fresh Windows 10 and 11 installs. Using two separate 8-pin PCIE connectors, either headers. DDU or AMD Cleanup Utility, with Windows Updates disabled and installing graphics drivers offline.
NVIDIA GPUs are more power efficient and have superior features like Nvenc, DLSS, CUDA, and better raytracing; and are generally better for machine learning tasks or offline rendering. If you don't need any of that you can save like 20% buying an AMD GPU. Reply reply. Edgaras1103.
But that is not going to be much of an issue for AMD. AMD’s success over the last 7 years has been underpinned by savvy debt restructuring that occurred before Lisa Su became CEO. Last year, AMD made the wise move of issuing $1B senior notes at 3.9% & 4.4%. These senior notes are due 2032 or 2052, $500M each.
Looks awesome and a sweet upgrade! I just built my PC a few weeks ago and used the same case and similar GPU support bracket. I went from an Intel i5 3570K and Nvidia GTX 670 to AMD 5600x and RX 6800 XT. Huge leap forward. And I like the low power usage of the 5600x. It makes up for the decent power usage of the 6800 XT.
