Under the appraised method the County Auditor will appraise all homes for market value. These values will be adjusted every 3 years on the same schedule as real property. This method will use the appraised value by 35% to create the assessed value.

To take advantage of CAUV, the owner must file an Initial Application for the Valuation of Land at Its Current Agricultural Use - DTE Form 109 CAUV with the County Auditor after the first Monday in January and prior to the first Monday in March. There is a $25 filing fee for initial applications.
Homestead Exemption: Manufactured and mobile homeowners 65 years of age or permanently and totally disabled are eligible for homestead exemption. This program reduces the taxable value of the property, thereby reducing the taxes owed. Applications are available through the Auditor's office.
