This article is a list of freedom indices produced by several non-governmental organizations that publish and maintain assessments of the state of freedom in the world, according to their own various definitions of the term, and rank countries as being free, partly free, or using various measures of freedom, including civil liberties, political rights and economic rights.
Björk received six hundred different remixes of the song before settling on the final twenty versions which made the album. It peaked at number fourteen on the dance albums chart in the UK and at number 168 in the France album charts. As of January 2006, the album had raised around £250,000 to help UNICEF's work in the south east Asian region.

Origin and use. Freedom in the World was launched in 1973 by Raymond Gastil. It produces annual scores representing the levels of political rights and civil liberties in each state and territory, on a scale from 1 (most free) to 7 (least free). Depending on the ratings, the nations are then classified as "Free", "Partly Free", or "Not Free". [3]
