My store went from 10-8 m-sat and 9-9 on Sunday to 9-9 7 days (no change in pharmacy hours). Some stores in my district got reduced, others expanded, a few stayed the same. Been saying these hours should be ours for years just based on sales figures and overhead cost. Maybe someone actually paid attention to the numbers for a change.

I currently work at Lowes which is alright but I’m a part timer and hours go up and down depending on the time of the year. I’m moving to a new city in the fall because of college and am considering working part time at Walgreens since it’s literally a 2 min walk from college campus.
Walgreens is so full of shit this past holiday corporate didn’t give us any hours and I literally had to hope someone called in so I could pick up shifts to get the money I need.

I left a day before they re-structured the pharmacy hours, but my pharmacy manager let me in on the tea. Apparently Walgreens wants to try out a new system which would permanently change the store hours and have most pharmacies closed on weekends. Also, 1 pharmacist and 1 technician (RXOM) work all day, & have a 2nd tech here & there…
The Walgreens nearest me regularly closes HOURS earlier than their posted hours. Not just the pharmacy, entire store. And not just "oh Google was wrong" but literally the hours on the door. 🤷♀️ I'm just a lowly customer and support the customer hate but just saying....not universally true.
I live in Nevada and that's super illegal. Nevada law states that after 3 hours of work, you're entitled 10 -minute break. Aunt after 5 hours it's a half an hour uninterrupted lunch. And then after 7 hours another 10-minute break. Your work is legally required to give it to you and you are legally required to take it.
Hours haven’t been cut, and The company has a Covid fund to apply more hours to stores at their request. They also send down SPA hours every week. If your store somehow has the staff to use up all the normal hours + spa hours, then they can request FDF hours for the increase in business due to Covid testing/vaccines.
On the front end at my store I and another coworker pretty much have unlimited ot because we have positions we can't get filled so our manager gives us the hours, they literally don't ever show up after they're hired or quit the first week, we also are short handed in Pharmacy with same issue, this is a tier 5 store so it stays pretty busy, I generally work 6 days a week though can do 7 if I ...
